Thanks to a grant from the South Central Regional Library Council, the Seymour Library has partnered with Advantage Preservation to microfilm and digitize 1,600 pages and 53 rolls of microfilm of Auburn New York newspapers.

The papers will be added to New York State Historic Newspapers (nyshistoricnewspapers.org) and the library’s digital archive at auburn.advantage-preservation.com and publications will include the Auburn Morning Dispatch/Auburn Weekly Dispatch from 1888, and the Advertiser-Journal from 1913 to 1931.

The project is a collaboration between the Seymour Public Library District and the Cayuga County Historian’s Office.
