Advantage is excited to be returning to The Iowa State Association of Counties (ISAC) annual conference!
Brady Donohue - Advantage Archives
The Iowa State Association of Counties (ISAC) annual is a private, nonprofit corporation. ISAC members are elected and appointed county officials from all 99 counties. The ISAC Conference is arguably one of the most important local government conferences that occur in the state of Iowa.
Advantage Archives is an Iowa-based company, owned and operated by Iowans. We work with libraries, historical societies, government agencies, and institutions across the United States, and have developed hundreds of strong partnerships in their communities to preserve and provide easy access to their historical documents, newspapers, and photographic materials.
As Iowans, we have had the opportunity to become very close to many of the state and local government agencies. We pride ourselves in the relationships we have forged in Iowa’s 99 counties, and always look forward to any opportunity to sit down with them to chat. Annually, the ISAC conference has allowed us to spend time with our friends, as all of the counties get together at one place and discuss thoughts and network.
That is what makes this such an important event that takes place year after year. After not having this event last year, we are very happy we will be able to attend and network with the county leaders. We have been working with libraries and local government leaders across Iowa for years and are excited to be a part of such an important event to connect with everyone.
If you are going to be in attendance, we would appreciate an opportunity to connect and discuss how we can work together to ensure that some of the most vital documents in the country can live on forever and in a way that is much more organized and easier to access than a paper copy. We can turn that old shelf full of important documents into any digital format we come up with after discussing your needs. This process preserves these vital records and makes them much easier to search.
We have worked with like-minded Iowan government agencies to help preserve and make the documents that are housed within the county and local government offices easily accessible and readily available. We have the knowledge, and most importantly, the experience, of handling documents including, but not limited to:
- Iowa Vital Records
- Meeting Minutes
- Iowa Property Transfer Books
- Drainage Maps
- Public Notices
- Iowa Census Data
- Public Health Records
- Deed Books
- Iowa Service Records
- Mortgage Records
- Survey Books
- Plat Maps
- Photographic Materials
- Plans & Blueprints
We can help you identify any funding opportunities that may be available to you, such as LSTA grants, or monies available through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Many local government agencies are taking full advantage of the opportunity to use ARPA funds to digitize and preserve these important documents. It creates a digital copy, and as you know, everything, at every level of movement is making the transition to digital at a rapid pace. Digitizing these vital records ensures that it will have a future and that the information is easily accessible and readily available. There is no better way to spend these funds than digitizing the most important records in your county.
At Advantage Archives, our team is full of Iowans born and raised across this beautiful state. Being in the preservation business, we feel that our responsibility is to ensure that all essential documents never become damaged or forgotten. We also look to create a much more accessible and time-efficient format than paper can offer. Our team takes this responsibility and ensures that all 99 counties have access to our services and that we can help ensure the future of these vital documents lives on forever. We take our jobs seriously and offer a secure way to digitize these documents and keep these sensitive records private.
