Spotlight: Marshall Public Library (Idaho)

Located in historic Old Town Pocatello, Idaho, the Marshall Public Library has been serving the Pocatello community for over 100 years. Advantage has partnered with Marshall Public Library to film and digitize copies of the Idaho State Journal, and it’s predecessor, The Pocatello Tribune, as far back as 1895.

Marshall Public Library Reference Specialist Trent Clegg has worked with Advantage on multiple projects and was happy to share his experience.

“We have been working with Advantage Archives since 2016. We appreciate that the microfilm we receive from them of recent newspaper issues contains clear, sharply focused images with great care taken to prevent oversaturation.”

We are also quite happy with Advantage’s digitization and hosting of our older microfilm. From the website setup service to the user-friendly interface and accurate search features, Advantage has provided us with an invaluable tool for aiding patrons both near and far with research into their genealogy and family history, as well as more general inquiries into the history of Pocatello and southeastern Idaho.

We sincerely appreciate the excellent service we always experience with Advantage!”
