Spotlight: The Perry County Public Library (Indiana)

Nestled in the heart of southern Indiana, Perry County is a community rich in history and heritage. Established in 1814, Perry County is named after Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, a hero of the War of 1812. The county is home to Tell City, the county seat, and a town that has seen growth and change over the centuries. Tell City was founded in 1858 by a group of Swiss-German immigrants, and its history reflects the industrious spirit and cultural pride of its founders. Today, Perry County continues to celebrate its past while looking forward to the future.

The Perry County Indiana Public Library has long been a cornerstone of the community, providing residents with access to knowledge, culture, and resources since its inception.
